Renata Berkyová
Renata Berkyová studied Romani Studies at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. She is currently a PhD student at the Institute of Economic and Social History, Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Her dissertation focuses on the perception of the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in the Czech lands in the post-war period until 1989. Her publications include a study on the compensation of Roma survivors under Law 255/1946 imprisoned in the camp at Lety u Písku. She is a member of the working group for the creation of the exhibition of the Memorial to the Holocaust of Roma and Sinti in Bohemia at the Museum of Romani Culture in Brno and is also a member of the editorial board of the professional journal of Romani studies Romano džaniben. She is the co-author of the documentary LETY. She has been working at the Prague Forum for Romani History at the Institute for Contemporary History of the CAS since 2018.
