Milena Tučná graduated from the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc, then worked for several years at the J. A. Comenius Museum in Uherský Brod and at the Olomouc Music Theatre. After 1989, she gained extensive editorial and editorial experience (including proofreading) in the media (ranging from the fortnightly Scéna to the daily Mladá fronta Dnes to Týden and the magazine Reportér) and in the publishing industry (books - fiction, translations and specialist literature). In 2001-2007, she was editor-in-chief of the publishing houses Prostor and Abonent. She also contributed to the creation and content of the websites of the National Heritage Institute, the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University and Charity Czech Republic.
